SeedConnect 2024: Empowering Nigeria’s farmers, strengthening agriculture together

This November, SeedConnect brought together over 500 stakeholders and 25 exhibitors to address ways of: ‘Leveraging Seed Technology to Boost Africa’s Agricultural Productivity’. Hosted by the National Agricultural Seed Council (NASC), the event centered on technical solutions to support smallholder farmers, who play a vital role in the nation’s agricultural economy.

East-West Seed was recognized for its contributions to innovation and farmer outreach, with Country Manager Hadiza Yaro accepting the award on behalf of the team. During a panel discussion, Hadiza highlighted the potential of digital extension services to bridge the gap and bring better seeds and practices to more farmers. Visitors to our booth, including Honourable Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Security, Dr. Abdullahi, emphasized the importance of collaboration and scalable solutions to meet Nigeria’s food security needs.
