Katalin Pákozdi is the Chief R&D Officer (CRDO) at East-West Seed.
In her role, Katalin leads the company’s breeding strategy and innovation efforts, driving the development of new vegetable seed varieties and enhancing the company’s market position. She is instrumental in shaping the research direction and team leadership to meet evolving farmer and market needs.
Katalin joined East-West Seed with extensive experience in the vegetable seed and fruit industry, including her previous role as EMEA Plant Breeding Director at Driscoll’s, where she focused on pepper and strawberry breeding.
Her academic background includes a PhD from New Mexico State University, USA, an MSc from Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Japan, and a BSc from Pannon University of Agriculture, Hungary.
