Joost van Elzakker is the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of East-West Seed Group.
As CCO, Joost leads the global sales, marketing, and product development functions, driving revenue growth and ensuring the company’s innovative seeds and services reach smallholder farmers worldwide.
Prior to his career at East-West Seed, Joost gained over a decade of experience in sales and management across the food systems and pharmaceutical industries. He held roles in Latin America and Southeast Asia, managing large-scale operations and driving business growth.
Joost joined East-West Seed in 2011 and has held key leadership roles, including General Manager for Vietnam and Group Facilities & Development Manager. During his tenure as General Manager, the Vietnamese business saw significant growth in sales and market share, establishing East-West Seed as a market leader in the region.
Joost holds a B.Sc. in Agricultural Economics from the University of Applied Sciences, The Netherlands.
