Jihan Mercier is the Chief Marketing Officer and a member of the Managing Board at East-West Seed (EWS). She leads the Global Strategic Marketing and Crop Team Organization, which focuses on defining long-term marketing strategy, managing the global crop portfolio, strengthening market insights, and developing organizational capabilities. .
In her role, Jihan works to align global and local strategies, improve collaboration across teams, and support the company’s transformation agenda. Her approach emphasizes practical execution, customer focus, and close connection to farmer needs.
Before joining East-West Seed, Jihan held senior leadership positions at Hazera Seeds (Limagrain Group), HM. Clause, and Syngenta, where she built experience in global marketing, business development, and crop strategy.
Jihan is committed to advancing East-West Seed’s mission of helping smallholder farmers improve their productivity and livelihoods through access to quality seeds and sustainable agricultural practices.
