Jean-Christophe “JC” Filippi is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the East-West Seed Group.
As CEO, JC leads East-West Seed with a commitment to extend the company’s promise of providing innovative seeds and services to underserved farmers across existing markets and exploring new opportunities in untapped regions.
JC joined East-West Seed in April 2023, bringing with him a rich and diverse background in top leadership roles across multinationals and privately-owned enterprises in Asia Pacific, Africa, and Latin America. Prior to joining East-West Seed, JC served as President of Asia Pacific at Phibro Animal Health, held key leadership roles at Cargill, and was CEO of Gold Coin Group.
An Agro-Economist by training, JC specializes in Agribusiness, Life Sciences, and the Food Industries. He excels at creating and executing growth strategies, transforming and expanding businesses sustainably, and building high-performing, multicultural teams. He has a strong track record of driving growth and expansion through both organic methods and mergers and acquisitions.
JC holds a master’s degree in Agro Economy and International Development from ISTOM – Ecole Supérieure d’Agro-Développement International in France.
