Dilip Rajan is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the East-West Seed Group.
As COO, Dilip oversees the day-to-day operations and executes long-term strategies to build value for smallholder farmers worldwide. He leads the expansion efforts across new geographies in Africa, Latin America, and Asia.
Prior to joining East-West Seed, Dilip accumulated over 25 years of experience in the healthcare sector, encompassing Pharmaceuticals, Consumer Health, Medical Devices, and Biotechnology in several countries such as India, the United States, Canada, Singapore, U.A.E., Bahrain, and Thailand.
Dilip made a significant career transition from the pharmaceutical industry to agriculture when he joined East-West Seed in June 2018 as the Managing Director for India. Under his leadership, the Indian business achieved market-leading growth, solidifying East-West Seed’s leadership position in this key market.
Dilip holds an Executive Master of Business Administration from Queen’s School of Business, Canada, and a B.Sc. in Biochemistry from Bangalore University, India.
