A great variety looks good on paper, but it only matters when it’s in the dirt. We recently invited our partners and growers into the field to see exactly what our Sabrosa and Vega papaya varieties can do.
More than just a fruit
Walking through the rows, the difference was clear. Compared to the usual standards, Sabrosa and Vega are hitting their stride early, showing the kind of ripening and consistency that makes a grower’s life easier. We also pulled back the curtain on some experimental varieties we’re still perfecting: the future of the papaya market looks bright!
Equipping the experts
Our partners from Agrocana, São Paulo Distribuidora, and Agrocampo joined us for more than just a tour. Between the field walks, our Sales Manager, Marcelo Hissnauer, sat down with their teams for a workshop on how to better support the farmers who rely on these seeds. It’s about making sure the right knowledge follows the right product.
Grower-approved
The highlight was hosting 47 local growers who came to see if these varieties lived up to the hype. There’s no substitute for standing in the field, checking the fruit, and talking shop. Seeing their interest in the yield potential of Sabrosa and Vega reminded us why we do this.
At East-West Seed, we don’t just deliver seeds; we grow alongside the people who plant them.
