From November 11-13, 2025, East-West Seed Brazil proudly welcomed more than 130 growers, dealers, and industry partners to its annual Field Day in Bragança Paulista, São Paulo.
Now in its fourth edition since East-West Seed entered the Brazilian market, the event has quickly become a key meeting point for the horticulture community, bringing innovation, collaboration, and inspiration into one space.
During the three-day event, guests explored field demonstrations featuring some of the company’s most promising and high-performing varieties across key crops, including:
- Lettuce: Varieties designed for uniformity, bolting tolerance, and strong field performance under Brazil’s diverse climates.
- Tomato: High-yielding hybrids with disease resistance, firmness, and excellent shelf life for both fresh market and supply chain efficiency.
- Papaya: Consistent fruit shape, premium quality flesh, and varieties suited for both smallholder and commercial production.
- Onion: High uniformity bulbs, improved storability, and resilience in challenging conditions.
- Pumpkin: Vigorous plants with excellent fruit setting, strong disease tolerance, and consumer-preferred flavor and texture.
- Watermelon: High-sugar fruits with firm flesh, transportability, and attractive external appearance.
These trials allowed attendees to see firsthand how innovative seed solutions can improve productivity, adaptability, and profitability in Brazil’s dynamic horticulture sector.
During the event, Fabricio Benatti, LATAM Head, reaffirmed East-West Seed’s long-term vision and commitment to strengthening its presence in the Brazilian market:
“Brazilian horticulture is enormous and full of potential. Our role is to bring varieties that help farmers grow better quality crops, with higher resilience and stronger economic outcomes.”
East-West Seed Brazil’s Commercial Head, Marcelo Hissauer echoed this message, highlighting the importance of collaboration, innovation, and supporting all partners in the value chain, from growers to distribution networks.
Beyond the technical demonstrations and learning opportunities, the event created space for meaningful conversations, knowledge exchange, and new partnerships. Guests repeatedly expressed appreciation for the opportunity to experience varieties directly in the field, and to engage with East-West Seed agronomists and product specialists who support them throughout the year. The atmosphere was filled with optimism, energy, and excitement for what’s ahead.
As East-West Seed continues expanding in Brazil, the company remains focused on supporting growers with high-performing genetics, technical expertise, and long-term collaboration.
With four successful editions of the Field Day now completed and record attendance in 2025, the future looks promising.
To all growers, dealers, and partners: thank you for your trust, enthusiasm, and ongoing collaboration. Together, we’re cultivating stronger farms, better harvests, and a more sustainable future for Brazilian horticulture.
