The Brand manager will report to Marketing manager and will be responsible for adapting a brand / product strategy for a company’s target market. Responsibilities includes working on marketing aspects of the business to ensure an overall performance of the brand and products in terms of sales, awareness. The ideal candidate will manage a portfolio of products with a positive attitude by working closely with sales teams and other functions.

Tasks and responsibilities include :

  • Manage market research and competitor & customer insights analysis
  • Analyze and identify growth opportunity 
  • Develop marketing plan, short term and long term for the assigned brand or product group which are in line with corporate strategy and direction
  • Implement approved strategic marketing plan including marketing mix
  • Assist with product development, pricing, packaging and new product launches as well as developing new business opportunities
  • Follow up brand status, awareness, usage, image, attitude (UAI) and distribution
  • Create and manage promotional collateral to establish and maintain product branding
  • Manage resources in marketing for the assigned brand or products
  • Work closely with sales teams to ensure effective distribution, reaching the target users and influencers
  • Study and manage cost of doing business and try to optimize them
  • Build relationship with customer, dealer, trader and business partners
  • Planning and execution of all communications and media actions on all channels, including online and social media
  • Managing the budget for advertising and promotional items
  • Analysis of sales forecasts as well as supply chain and relevant financials and reporting on product sales
  • Self development to keep up changing market environment 

Key Success Factors

  • Experience working for a matrixed/international organization which is truly multicultural and diverse
  • Understanding in seed business & vegetable seed market
  • Work with sales team as well
  • Brand awareness - a clear understanding of brands and the marketing mix
  • Relationship management skills

Are we looking for you?

  • A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration or a similar field. Master’s degree a plus
  • Minimum experience of 5 years in marketing, branding
  • Experience gained working for a matrixed/international organization which is truly multicultural and diverse
  • Understanding in seed business & vegetable seed market
  • Experience working with sales teams
  • Brand awareness - a clear understanding of brands and the marketing mix
  • Good command of English and computer skills
  • Must be self-driven, organized, provide timely communication and process analytical skill
  • Energetic, self-motivated, proactive and positive attitude  
  • Positive and energetic team player, pleasant/people friendly and is willing to learn
  • Able to communicate to employees at all levels in the organization 
  • Proficiency in spoken English and communication skills
  • Excellent computer literacy and good business acumen
