A Good Seed Goes a Long Way
By bringing better seeds and better yields to millions of farmers in Asia, East- West Seed brings better lives to millions of families in the region.
Our founder Simon Groot always said that a good seed can have a much greater impact on a country's development than millions of foreign aid money.
We see this everyday, as farmers tell us how profitable arming has become for them, thanks to East-West Seed.
How We're Helping Farmers and their Families "Our yield increases using East-West seeds. The varieties of East-West are tolerant to pests and diseases, yield high-quality fruits, and command premium prices in the market. The products of East-West are preferred by consumers, that's why they're easy to sell. East-West varieties are easy to grow, result in a bigger harvest and higher returns. Our family was able to build a house just by planting vegetables."
- Domingo Ramos, Bitter gourd farmer, Pampanga, Philippines

It has the shape and color that consumers like, and the fruit is completely red.
And it holds up well during shipping and handling."
